Japanese speakers of different nationalities meet in Carnaby for an informal evening of conversation.
Language level and format
Intermediate Japanese is recommended, making this a social language gathering rather than a taught beginner class.
How the evening works
The November meeting starts at 19:00 and usually continues until around 23:00. A buffet is available, and the small payment collected at the door covers its cost.
There is no advance booking: attendees can turn up and pay on arrival. The exact door payment is not published, so bring a suitable payment method and confirm current details through the organiser before travelling.
Venue and practical information
The group meets at The Red Lion, 14 Kingly Street, Carnaby, London W1B 5PR. Meetings are advertised for the first Tuesday of each month, but the programme may change.
Before you go
Age guidance, step-free access, accessible toilets, quiet-space arrangements, parking and refund terms are not published on the event page. See the Japan Society listing and Japanese Conversation Group website for updates.
