A beginner-friendly Japanese lesson connects language learning with Japan House London’s Tradition/Rebellion: Coming-of-Age Style in Kitakyushu, Japan exhibition. Yoshimi Nakane Berrecloth leads the session, with an optional short exhibition tour from Japan House staff afterwards.
Two repeated sessions
The same lesson runs twice on Saturday 28 November:
- 12:00 to 13:00
- 14:00 to 15:00
Each session introduces basic Japanese expressions and is designed for complete beginners or people with very limited Japanese. The optional exhibition tour lasts approximately 15 minutes and is also free.
Registration and venue
Entry is free, but advance registration is required. Each session is limited to 30 participants. Registration closes on Thursday 19 November, or earlier if capacity is reached.
Japan House London is less than 100 metres from High Street Kensington station, served by the District and Circle lines. Its free cloakroom cannot accept luggage larger than a cabin bag, and assistance dogs are welcome throughout the building.
