The Japanese Government’s JET Programme comes to King’s College London for a one-hour information and Q&A session about the 2027 application cycle.

Application deadline

Applications through the UK route close on 5 November 2026.

Working in Japan through JET

The presentation covers the programme’s two roles: Assistant Language Teacher and Coordinator for International Relations. Applicants for the ALT route do not need previous teaching experience or knowledge of Japanese, and graduates from all degree subjects are welcome.

The session is mainly aimed at people eligible for the UK application route. A British passport is required to apply through the UK Embassy, although the presentation itself is open to students interested in Japan or the JET Programme.

Registration and venue

The event runs from 15:00 to 16:00 in room KIN LG 149 at King’s Building on the Strand Campus. Eventbrite registration is live, but the current ticket price is not displayed on the public listing.
