Japanese composer and keyboardist Yasuharu Takanashi brings his Far East Groove project to London for its first UK appearance on 2 October. The group’s central idea is a bridge between anime soundtrack composition and heavy metal, drawing on Takanashi’s work on Naruto Shippuden and Fairy Tail.
The Dingwalls show features an international lineup including Juno, Nozomu Wakai of Sigh, Jesper Anastasiadis of Turisas, Tuomas Rounakari and Tino Jäntti. Far East Groove was formed in 2024 and previously toured Europe in 2025, including appearances in Finland, Spain and Italy.
What to expect
Expect a live fusion of anime-scale melodies and heavy metal, led by Takanashi on keyboards and composition. The published schedule gives general admission at 19:00 and VIP entry at 18:00.
